Baby, two others injured in Alor, Anambra crash

Three persons, including a little female child on Monday sustained varying degrees of injury in a motor accident in Alor, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra state.

The crash which occurred around 12: 25pm by Alor junction, involved two vehicles, white colored Honda Crosstour and Red Howo Truck.

An eyewitness said the crash was caused by brake failure which led to loss of control.

Confirming the incident, Sector Commander, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Adeoye Irelewuyi said no life was lost, adding that his men from Nnewi Command were on ground to manage the traffic caused by the crash.

He warned motorist to ensure constant maintenance of their vehicles in order to prevent breakdown on the highways and preventable road traffic crash.

He said, “A serious road traffic crash was recorded today Monday 19th July 2021at about 1225 by Alor junction between unidentified driver of a White colored Honda Crosstour with vehicle registration number BDG57FZ and unidentified driver of Red Howo Truck without registration number.

“Six persons were involved in the crash comprising of (4 male adults and 1 female child). Two male adults and one female child sustained varying degrees of injury and was rushed to Chukwunoson Hospital Nnobi for medical treatment.”

He sent his prayers to the injured persons.
