A former governorship aspirant in Ekiti state Senator Aluko Gbenga dies at 58

A former senator from Ekiti state, Gbenga Aluko, has died in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, at the age of 58. 

Aluko reportedly collapsed in his office on Saturday, November 20, and was swiftly taken to a hospital where he died. 

The deceased was also a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ekiti in 2018, TVC reported.

Aluko was a member of the National Assembly from 1999 to 2003 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
